It is my honor to serve and represent you in Annapolis. Please let us know how we can help.

The Maryland legislative sessions are 90 days each year from January to April, but our work is year-round serving our constituents. We welcome your ideas and advocacy any time to improve our laws, government and our community life.

Problem Solving

Since 2019, our office has helped hundreds of constituents claim their unemployment insurance benefits and solve problems related to utilities, licensing, small businesses, senior services, pedestrian safety and anything to do with state and local government.

During the pandemic, we helped facilitate the Asian American community’s donation of tens of thousands of PPE to hospitals, first responders, senior homes and a local homeless shelter while building cultural bridges and fighting xenophobia.

Pedestrian Safety

With more people working from home, our office has focused on improving pedestrian safety in our sprawling district from Potomac to Poolesville, west of I-270. We’ve successfully secured the installation of the “pedestrian refuge” crosswalk at Travilah Road/Nolan Drive intersection and new streetlights on Darnestown Road across the Belward Farm, and are coordinating multiple other pedestrian safety projects and assessments across our district.

Investing in Our Community

I have worked with my District 15 colleagues in securing millions of dollars of state funding for various community improvement projects, including the South Germantown Recreational Park, the BlackRock Center for the Arts, the Universities at Shady Grove and the Pleasant View Historical Site.

This year, in particular, I am proud to have led the efforts to secure hundreds of thousands of dollars in capital funding for the Guru Gobind Singh Foundation (a Sikh community nonprofit) to build a new community service center and for the restoration and expansion of the Scotland AME Zion Church, an African American community landmark in Potomac in partnership with my state and council colleagues.
